I’m gonna explain some things

So if you follow me you’ve seen my two posts about my bnha self-insert and that I’m gonna cosplay her soon, but what you might not know is why. So allow me to explain why I show my self-insert it on here.

I have a chronic illness. My chronic illness is Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS. IBS comes with many symptoms which can range from nausea to constipation to cramping and bloating. This is a chronic illness that I’ve struggled with for a better part of my life with the symptoms starting when I was 8. 

I hate the symptoms that my IBS brings to the table mostly nausea. So when I was trying to come up with a quirk (my OCs power) I went through a handful of ideas before it hit me. 

Make her quirk your IBS. 

I gave her an acid/gas quirk. One that spills out her mouth. Overuse causes burns to the throat and only her stomach can contain the acids, but still, the damage is done to the stomach not much though. The acids and gas that she holds aren’t normal though they range from gases that can put you to sleep to being able to kill. 

Though that idea came later for the range and specifically which kinds of gases and acids she can use. 

When I first made Yama Yudokuna I had the idea in mind of taking the one thing I really hated about my life at the time and turning it into a superpower of someone who was aiming to become a hero even though she’d been told her quirk was suited for a villain.

When she was born the gases spilled out her mouth almost killing her parents, the nurses, and the doctor before they contained her and made a special gas mask (almost like how people born without limbs are given special prosthetics and get bigger ones as they grow)

Yama is me and honestly making her has helped me love myself more with this chronic illness that I face daily.

Costume: Dark purples and greens. Her mask is mostly purple with green accents, the hazard logo is green as well. The rest of her costume consists of a purple lightweight hoodie and sweatpants with green accents on them. The hoodie has on it the hazard logo in green as well.

Quirk: Toxicity 

Weapons: None

Gadgets/Tech: Wears a gas mask at all times just to be safe in case any toxic gas slips out of her mouth. Physical Weaknesses: Tiny, not very strong, gets sick easily, has patellofemoral pain syndrome (one knee has to have a brace on while out and about or else she can’t move much)

Description: A toxic substance is built up in her stomach and emitted out of the mouth, can be either a toxic gas or a strong acid like substance. The toxic gas paralyzes and if breathed in enough can cause permeant lung damage, cause them to fall unconscious, and possibly death. She can also choose how strong the gas is. Sometimes she chooses to just use a sleep like gas in order to keep from fighting.

If turned into the acid-like substance then it can cause burns on the skin and eat away at clothes and other objects. Strength: When in a small confined space, her quirk is very useful

Weaknesses: Open spaces are her quirks worst nightmare 

What age did you obtain it: born with it

How did you obtain it (what was happening at the time): She was born with it and almost killed the nurses, doctor, and her parents because she couldn’t control it so all this toxic gas was spilling out and they had to put her in a special quarantined room while they made her first special gas mask.

Hero outfit: Wears goggles and a gas mask. A Purple hoodie with a green biohazard logo on the chest. Matching purple leggings with green stripes on the outsides. Purple shoes with green lines on them in various places (the soles are green with a purple biohazard logo.) Wears two loose belts that hang on either hip. Various viles of gas and acid sit inside of them for condensed long range attacks. Quirk: Toxicity Special moves: -Toxic Mountain: A mixture of gas and acid come from her mouth in a big wave to put to sleep any enemies in front of her. (usually, a finishing move if overwhelmed with enemies.) - Green Gas: Sleeping gas is released from her mouth to put a single enemy to sleep. - Purple Haze: A colorless gas is released from her mouth when breathed in it will cause the body to go into a coma-like state for 10 minutes. -Spewing acid: Releasing bubbles of acid at a time to either disintegrate something or stop someone dead in their tracks. Gadgets/Tech: Wears a gas mask at all times just to be safe in case any toxic gas slips out of her mouth. -When preforming hero work the mask is different where she can easily control the flow of gas out the mask to use against villains. -Wears goggles that allow her to see through large clouds of gas that’s been created -Clothes are made of specific fibers that won’t dissolve if any of her own acids falls onto them -She has a belt with various vials that are filled with different forms of her acid and gas. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Extra Likes: Takoyaki, All Might, Mt.
